Aims of The Club

The Scottish Great Dane Club aims:

To enhance the profile of Great Danes in Scotland and the UK.

To advocate and encourage responsible dog ownership and promote excellence in breeding and exhibiting.

The President was Mr L L Steel and the Secretary was Mr H H Forster. Challenge Cups for best dog and best bitch were on offer at the first show which was held in conjunction with the Glasgow Show (later to become Scottish Kennel Club Show).

The Club was first registered with The Kennel Club in 1913 and appeared in The Kennel Club Stud Book right up until 1925
